The Volunteer Way has been serving the under served in Pasco County since
March 13, 1992. I can remember when one person showed up for help the first day and we had enough food for 100 families. Some
of our volunteers went to main street in New Port Richey to look for homeless people to serve. They came back with four people.
After that day we continued to grow and needed more food.
We started Reaping The Harvest which is a recycling program that picks up day-old
food from Supermarkets and restaurants and distributes that food to the needy.
From that first day until now we continued to grow and needed
more food so we started a warehouse and ended up with more food then we could handle. We decided to share our good fortune
with other food pantries and soup kitchens in Florida.

For years The Volunteer Way helped over 1,000 nutritionally challenged
families of Pasco County, this year we had to stop that
program.
Where did all the food go?

Pasco County residents have stopped by with food they purchased for our warehouse and
we received many phone calls to help us through this difficult time.
THANK YOU, PASCO, FOR CARING!

I can remember when small churches throughout Florida came to us because they had no funds to purchase
food but wanted to serve the needy, we gave them thousands of pounds of food each month to feed the hungry of their communities.
The Volunteer Way’s
only goal has been to help hurting people that are caught in difficult times. We are a volunteer charity and all our resources
go into helping people. Our administration cost are 1/2 of one percent which means $.995 of every dollar that is donated goes
to fighting poverty.
We now have programs for the homeless, elderly, children, mentally challenged, mentally
handicapped. We partner with Cares, Teen Challenge, Hospice, U.S.A. Harvest, Operation Blessing and Feed The Children. We are making a positive
impact on lives in Pasco.
