HELP US TO END HUNGER!
2007 WILL BE A YEAR WITH MANY OPPORTUNITIES
The Volunteer Way and their staff, had a Merry Christmas and look forward to an exciting 2007. This year will bring
us great opportunities and new relationships with new challenges. Last year we made great progress in many of our outreach
programs. We now have a waiting list of food pantries and soup kitchens to receive food from our food bank. Most of the
food banks charge fees to food pantries and soup kitchen for the food they receive for their outreaches. The Volunteer
Way never charges any fees for their food, this is why many hunger relief charities come to us for their food to pass out
to the nutritionally challenged of their communities.
OUR PLEDGE TO THE UNDERSERVED OF FLORIDA!
We
will continue to bring attention to Florida's leaders about the issues smaller faith-based and community hunger relief
charities have with how funds and commodities are being distributed to charities. Many charities have forgotten their mission
statement and have become businesses, only interested in money, power and control instead of working together with charities
with simular interests to better serve the underserved. Let's get back to our Mission Statement
and serve people that need help.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
- Have a food drive or fundraiser in your community, civic association or place of business and donate the food or funds
to The Volunteer Way.
- Personally donate to The Volunteer Way.
- Volunteer to help your community.
- Ask your supermarket to donate a Turkey and the fixings for a needy family.
WHAT WILL A $10.00 DONATION DO?
$ 10.00 Will bring to our pantry 250 pounds of food, which will give 6 families 41 pounds of food.
WHAT WILL A $100.00 DONATION DO?
$ 100.00 Will bring to our pantry 2,500 pounds of food, which will give 60 families 41 pounds of food.
WHAT Will A $1,250.00 DONATION DO?
$1,250.00 Will bring to our pantry 30,000 pounds of food, which will give 700 families 41 pounds of food.

The Volunteer
Way’s administration cost are kept to less then one percent of our budget, what ever you can help us with would have
a positive effect on the many hungry families in our communities. Be The Change:
