2005 WILL BE AN AWESOME YEAR!

Deputy_Troy_and_Kim.JPG

The Volunteer Way is working with Pasco County Sheriff's department to bring food and personal items to the homeless that are sleeping in the woods. Deputy Troy is picking up some personal items to distribute to homeless people that are living in the woods. All the deputies carry food and personal items in their patrol cars to help the hungry homeless families. We are trying to expand this program to Citrus County in 2005.

Suncoast Harvest Food Bank has decided to honor their contract for commodities with The Volunteer Way but most important is they expressed a desire to work with us in other ways to benefit all people caught in poverty. We will keep everyone up to date with our progress. We have always believed there was a place for Suncoast Harvest and there was always a place for The Volunteer Way and with us working together we would benefit all the communities in Pasco County.

We have started a new charity called Florida Association of Hunger Relief Ministries. This charity will benefit all hunger relief organizations in Florida with information sharing, food, funds and much more. This will be a 501-c-3 charity for Florida’s Hunger relief organizations. There will be no fees to join and all faith based and community hunger relief organization can join. Please send us an e-mail if you are interested in becoming a member. Remember, the voice of one charity may be heard but the voice of hundreds of charities will be heard.
