STOCK THE EMPTY SHELVES, HELP TO FEED CHILDREN, SENIORS
AND FAMILIES IN NEED
The Volunteer Way will be part of the family fun at Chasco Fiesta™ 2010. The festival is taking place March 18 - 28, at Sims Park in New Port Richey. Come and join the excitement, entertainment and family fun and help The Volunteer Way Food Bank to stock their empty shelves. The Volunteer Way is a food bank that helps to feed over 20,000 families per month. Their shelves are too frequently empty and bare and when that happens, 1,000 to 2,000 families are sent home without any food. This can be heart breaking for a family, a young child or an elderly senior citizen.
The Chasco festival is offering a tent to The Volunteer Way; the tent will be located behind the old Hacienda Building. The Volunteer Way needs your help in collecting non perishable food items to help restock their empty shelves. Some of the valuable items that are needed are: canned tuna, canned meat, cereal, canned vegetables, canned soup, canned fruit, pasta, rice, or funds.
We will also have valuable information about Florida KidCare, an affordable medical insurance for children (0 to 19 years old).
Please join The Volunteer Way during Chasco Fiesta™, March 18-28 and help to stock the empty shelves. A small crying child, a needy family or an elderly person is depending on your generous heart and giving nature, to help them feed their hunger and lift their spirits.
Please attend, bring non perishable food items, and be a "Super Citizen" who cares about and lends a helping hand to the fellow members of their community!
