Helping People Is What We Do Best!

WE NEED YOUR HELP
This Thanksgiven, thousands of families will be going hungry. Children will be going to bed without food. "HUNGER HAS A CURE, IT'S CALLED FOOD". The Volunteer Way is now assisting over 19,000 families each month with food and personal items to give the less fortunate a chance to get back on their feet.
 
We have many different programs that help hurting people of our society, when we were given this  opportunity to help the people in Moon Lake, we thanked God for this opportunity to serve more low-income people and to make a difference in people's lives.

OUR NEW OUTREACH

   We received a new building in Moon Lake to assist the Moon Lake area. One of our plans for this new outreach is to open a soup kitchen and food pantry. We will also be opening three days a week for people to come and fill out applications for food stamps and Florida KidCare.
We will also be holding most of our special events at this location, such as, back to school supplies give away, Christmas toy give away and many other community activity.

What happens to your donation?

   The Volunteer Way is very frugal when it comes to spending funds that are donated to helping the needy. Our over head is kept to one half of one percent (.005) of our budget, which means we spend one penny ($.01) on over head for every two dollars ($2.00) donated. A the rest ($1.99) go to helping low-income and disabled people of our communities.
 
More people are coming to us every month for help, we find families living in their cars or in the woods with their children. We find families living with their parents, friends in very crowded rooms and one step away from sleeping in the woods.
