Times are very difficult for many families that have been laid off from work and can not buy enough food for their children. Our elderly don't have enough food to stay healthy and have a good quality of life. We are seeing families living in the woods or their cars. Every day we have lines of people asking for assistance with food and personal items. An average of 4,000 families, 40 food pantries and 28 other charities come to us every month for assistance. Last year we distributed over 6,000,000 pounds of food plus personal items, all our commodities and services are free of any fees. "WE ARE PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE, THE VOLUNTEER WAY"

Curves has a food drive every year and donates that food to The Volunteer Way Food Bank. Many businesses in Pasco have food drive and Fundraisers that helps us continue to serve the under served of Pasco and other counties.
Business Community Helping Their Community ! IHOP RESTAURANTS are one of our business supporters. We have free breakfast once a month at the knights of Columbus, which are also supporters of The Volunteer Way Food Bank. This is a great time for the low-income and homeless to have a healthy meal and to sit down and fellowship with other people. "Thank you, IHOP and Knights of Columbus"
Who we are !
The Volunteer Wayis a 501-c-3 faithbased charity, all donations are tax deductible. Our adminastration costs are less then 1%, which means $.99 of every $1.00 goes to helping people in need. Help keep this vital charity open and expanding. Most food banks only serve other charities and charge a handling fee. We never charge any fees and we serve individual and other charities daily.
