Dear Friends of the less fortunate, The Volunteer Way would like to thank the people that makes us who we are. It is the generous support we receive from our residents, government leaders and businesses community that allows us to assist all the hurting people of Pasco County and beyond. Our Elderly needs our help! Every month The Volunteer Way sends their army of volunteers to assist Pasco's low-income, homebound elderly with an encouraging word, 60 pounds of food, pet food for their best friend and personal item . Our senior community is struggling to survive in these difficult times. They are isolated and many time we are the first people they have seen in a month. They are very grateful for the food we bring, but I believe they enjoy the company more then the food. In our journey of life, we some times think we go through life unconnected, this is the furthest from the truth. We are and always will be connected to all humans. What hurts one person hurt us all, we can not close our eyes to poverty and say, this does not concern me. If we all join together, we could solve poverty now, in our life time. There is not one person that is not able to do something. You can be young, old, working, disabled, rich or poor and there is something you can do to help the less fortunate. Working together, we can do it! Plant a garden and donate the food! Plant a garden, in your back yard, in a pot on your patio or where ever. Donate that food to us to distribute to the hungry children and their families. Volunteer to work at our hydroponics farm or our elderly program. We have a place for you to help the hurting people of your community, just ask us. You can go to our website (www.thevolunteerway.org) and see which program you would like to help. If you are disabled, work or think you have no experience, we have the right place for you to help. We need Prayer, this is what made us one of the largest and most successful charity in Florida. Without Gods help, we can do nothing.
Thank you for all you are now doing and all you are about to do, to make life a little better for those that are hurting
