Last year The Volunteer Way partnered with Florida KidCare. Florida KidCare is a child health insurance program that offers comprehensive health care benefits to children from birth through 18 years of age. Eligibility for the KidCare program is based on family size and household income. Some families pay an affordable monthly premium. Many families pay nothing at all. For kids it's a great health insurance plan. For parents, it's one less worry.
Benefits covered by Florida KidCare include: doctor visits, prescriptions, check-ups, vision, shots, hearing, hospitalization, mental health, lab work, emergencies and dental. To request a mail-in application, call 1-888-540-5437 or visit www.floridakidcare.org to apply on line.
