The Volunteer Way has written and sent in five grants. Please pray for us to receive favor with
these grants. The Volunteer Way Food Bank has made two very promising contacts that can bring our food bank millions
of pounds of additional food to assist our partnering hunger relief charities feed the nutritionally challenged.
We will receive this food free of cost but have to pay the transportation cost. The
additional Transportation costs are going to range from $10,000.00 to $12,000.00 per month and will bring our food bank
an additional 200,000 and 250,000 pounds of food per month. We will be able to expand our efforts to include
more counties in Florida. It’s hard to believe that The Volunteer Way Food Bank started with only one
person coming to us for help and now we are assisting approximately 15,000 families a month and growing.
We have started to expand our area in Citrus County and surrounding Counties. We hope to open a warehouse
in Citrus County in the near future. Each week we receive more applications in Pasco and Hernando Counties to be a part of
our food bank. Many hunger relief charities cannot afford to pay fees to receive food for their pantries and soup kitchens
- that is why they are willing to travel long distances to receive free food for their ministries. The
Volunteer Way must continue our struggle to end hunger. The alternative would be that many ministries that
have a burden to help the less fortunate of Pasco and other counties would close their doors and thousands of children, working
poor and elderly would go to bed hungry.
If you can help us in any way, please call or go to
Helping Others on the left.
Our overhead is less then 1/2 of 1%, which means for every dollar donated $ .995
goes to helping a family in need.
