Moon Lake Mission

Serving the most Vulnerable in our Community

Thanks to the Pasco County government, The Volunteer Way has been given the opportunity to provide many services for the homeless and low income people in the Moon Lake Area.

Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen is the main service of The Volunteer Way Moon Lake Mission. We serve an average of 176 lunches per day, six days a week.

In our efforts to keep our consumers, volunteers and staff safe during COVID-19 the hours of operation and the way meals are delivered has been modified.

Monday – Saturday 10 am 12 noon walk-up food distribution system.  Donations of clothing will be accepted at this time.

Other Services Available Include:

Free clothing and free personal and small household items.

The facility, also, offers an opportunity to take a warm shower to residents of the area who do not have running water.

Once a month, free haircuts are available.

Alanon meetings are held on the premises, and there is a Chapel that holds services on Sundays and offers pastoral services and Christian counseling.

Once a month, the new Pasco County Mobile Medical Care Unit visits this facility providing free medical checkups and prescriptions to the residents in the area who do not have health insurance.
