Reaping The Harvest
Reaping The Harvest (R.T.H.) is the name of our recycling program.
We recycle day old bread, produce, Deli-meats, cold cuts, pizzas, meats, bakery and dented cans from Publix Supermarkets,
Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Last year we recycle over 1,100,000 pounds of good nutritional food and
got that food on the tables of the nutritionally challenged.
Another large supplier of recycled food is Operation Blessing located
in Virginia.
Operation Blessing sends us over 2,000,000 pounds of food each year to distribute to the hungry people of Florida.
We also have local people that bring us food each month plus local
businesses run food drives which brings us in an additional 100,000 pounds of food to distribute.
“GOD KEEPS BLESSING THIS MINISTRY”
When we first opened this ministry we started with about 15 to 20
cases of food and we wondered what are we going to do with all this food. Well now when we discuss food
we talk about how many tractor trailer loads of food we will receive.
When God had us start this ministry, I thought we would serve 20 or
30 families then sit there with our feet up on the desk and relax. God certainly knows His people, I think if I realized how
large of a ministry this was going to be, I would have been long gone. He allowed me to know as much as I could handle at
one time, then opened new door in His timing. “TO GOD BE THE GLORY”
I thank God
every day for choosing me to serve in His ministry and I will be in this ministry as long as God can use me. If you
