August has been a very busy month. We are assisting over 1,000 families that come to our food
bank for food each month. Our food bank and soup kitchens have not received any commodities for the past eleven months.
We have thousands of people that are not getting any U.S.D.A. commodities. In a few years we are hoping to apply for the contract
for commodities in Pasco County so we can more evenly distribute the government commodities. Well, that a little ways off,
so we need to find food for the hungry people that we serve in Pasco County from other sources.
We will be approaching local supermarkets to help us feed the many hungry children, working poor,
seniors and the homeless in our communities. We never charge any type of fees to pantries, soup kitchens and the hungry people
that come to our food bank for food.

We are now working with the Florida Association of Hunger Relief Ministries to be part of the employee payroll deduction
campaign throughout Florida. We have started to contact federal, state and local government to allow us to be part of their
yearly campaigns. We have also started to contact large and small businesses in Florida.
Many people I talked to agree that the smaller charities have never receive the support they deserve. We understand
that the larger charities that have been receiving all the support do a great job of helping many hurting people. Many people
also agree that the smaller charities do a great job helping many hurting people. It is only fair that they share in some
of the support that the community gives to the larger charities. Please call and lets talk about helping smaller charities.
