With living expenses going up almost daily, many of our children and their families are going hungry. The families
are getting up and going to work every day, but gas prices are rising which causes food prices to go up and all other
expenses seem to go out of control for a lot of families. Children do not have the opportunity to help themselves out
of poverty. Please help them!
$1.60 CAN FEED A HUNGRY SENIOR CITIZEN
Our elderly that are on fixed incomes just cannot make ends meet. Many of our seniors are receiving less than $
700.00 per month and by the end of each month they have no funds to purchase food or medicines. Elderly people
have very few choices and less chances to start working again to help themselves financially because of their age or
health. We can make sure that our seniors have enough food so they can be the most they can be and have a much healthier
and longer life.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
Have a food drive or fundraiser in your community, civic association or place of business and donate the food or funds
to The Volunteer Way.

Ask your supermarket to donate a Turkey and the fixings for a needy family.

$ 10.00 Will bring to our pantry 250 pounds of food, which will give 6 families 41 pounds of food.
WHAT WILL A $100.00 DONATION DO?
$ 100.00 Will bring to our pantry 2,500 pounds of food, which will give 60 families 41 pounds of food.
WHAT Will A $1,250.00 DONATION DO?
$1,250.00 Will bring to our pantry 30,000 pounds of food, which will give 700 families 41 pounds of food.
