Charities and Money
Unfortunately, alot of today's charities are all about the money. I would recommend that some charities
look up the word CHARITY. They may be surprised what the word means. Instead of working with other similar charities
to better serve their communities, they consider other charities a competitor for their funds.
You may say that what I am saying does not sound right because they are charities
and cannot make a profit. But, with more money being brought into their charities, the higher their salaries and
bonuses can be. So, it is not about helping people, it is about how much money they can get in salaries.
When donating to any charity you should ask to see their financial statement and check
how much of your donation goes to where you, the donor, intended it to go.

HELPING PEOPLE
SHOULD NOT BE
ALL ABOUT MONEY!

JUST THINK OF THIS!
With our overhead less then 5%, more of your donation will get to where
you, the donor, wants it to go - helping the less fortunate of your community.
WE WILL DO GREAT THINGS TOGETHER

Is There a Brighter Side?
There is a brighter side to this article. There are still some charities that put the
people they help first and are not eating up your donations in salaries and bonuses. The Volunteer
Way is proud to be one of those charities!
The charities don’t mind taking your donations, so they should not mind telling you how much of your
donation is actually getting to help people.
Things change and I think in these days we need to be more aware of who we donate our hard earned money
to. If you are participating in any charity campaign, ask the questions that need to be asked.
There is nothing better then helping people get back on their feet and become productive citizens of our communities.
Never stop helping you neighbors.
Be the change.
Donate intelligently.
