Food Bank and Food Pantry The Volunteer Way's Food Bank is a volunteer Charitable Organization that distributes over 6,000,000 pounds of food and puts that food on the tables of approximately 20,000 people each month. We are assisting food pantries, soup kitchens, Hospice, mentally challenged residential programs, women's shelters, Teen Challenge, homeless shelters and other charitable organizations. We supply free food, back to school supplies, clothing, first aid kits, blankets, personal items and other necessities.We donate all these commodities free of any FEES to these charitable organizations and they are then able to assist many more children, working poor and elderly. We help the least fortunate of our communities. "We Are People Helping People, The Volunteer Way." The Volunteer Way had approximately 200 volunteers that worked with us during this past year. The Volunteer Way, Inc. is made up of people from different denominations and faiths. They come from different communities that we serve. They donate their time to help the homeless, low income families in our community. T.V.W. is an organization that is committed to fighting poverty wherever it presents itself. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed volunteers like those at the T.V.W. can change the world. Let's reinvest in our children, single parents and seniors and put the spirit of hope back into them, so they can become productive citizens in their communities.
